Best Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Mics For Week 9

It was a mostly injury-free Sunday for top contributors to fantasy football, and while that’s a welcome relief, it doesn’t help Week 9’s best fantasy waiver son pick-ups and free agent additions . In fact, this week‘s original waiver article might sound like a rerun. We tout RBs as Latave Murray, Kenyan drakeand Caleb Huntleyall of which have already been featured in this article in recent weeks, as well as the newcomer Ronnie Riverswho surprised as the Rams’ backfield leader.

Our complete list of free agents also features some rising pass-catchers that we’ve already highlighted (TE Greg DulcichWR Rondale Moore), in addition to several guys you may have forgotten about because they’re either goodbye or IR (Isaiah Pacheco, Kyren Williams, Treylon Burk, josh palm tree). Mostly, though, we’ve packed this week’s waiver recommendations with potential streamers at QB, WR, TE, and D/ST. With six teams (Giants, Cowboys, Steelers, Browns, 49ers and Broncos) bidding goodbye next week, more than a few fantasy owners will be looking for replacements. Streamer suggestions are grouped by position and can be found at the end of the list.

With the possible exception of Rivers, all of the RBs mentioned above are worth waiver claims in 10- or 12-team leagues, but it’s hard to say if they’re worth high claims. None are among the league winners, but all have value, especially as we enter difficult weeks. It really boils down to how badly you need an RB, both short and long term. Murray is probably the “safest” bet for future value, but Williams and Pacheco have higher caps.

If you’re hurting at TE, Dulcich also deserves a waiver request, but he’s losing some shine due to next week’s furlough. Burks and Palmer also have a lot of appeal in the 12-team leagues, especially with favorable matchups in Week 9, but generally speaking you shouldn’t use a waiver request on a streamer unless you don’t really get desperate for position (and desperate for rankings).
