Julia Fahl joins Archer Public Affairs as Director

William J. Caruso, managing director of Archer Public Affairs, today announced that Julia Fahl has joined the company as a director. Fahl has nearly two decades of service in federal, state and local government and politics, as well as expertise in representing the interests of clients across New Jersey.

“We are thrilled that Julia has joined Archer Public Affairs,” Caruso said. “Julia’s experience as a former elected official and as someone knowledgeable about all aspects of handling state and national issues and politics is a great addition to our diverse team and full growth.”

Fahl brings a wealth of practical political experience to the post, Caruso added. From 2019 to 2022, Fahl served as mayor of Lambertville. During his tenure, Fahl was the state’s youngest elected mayor and one of the state’s few openly gay officials. She played a leading role in Governor Phil Murphy’s successful campaign in 2017, helping to raise over $14 million. She also worked for more than a decade as a political strategist and fundraiser for Democratic candidates across the country before becoming the Democratic National Committee’s LGBT finance director.

As mayor, Fahl said she prioritizes fiscal responsibility, managing the public budget, affordable housing and improving infrastructure. She led Lambertville through the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as Hurricane Ida, the biggest natural disaster in the city’s history. She also successfully secured support from the New Jersey Department of Transportation, enabling her to complete a large-scale critical infrastructure project along Route 29 that had languished for more than 19 years.

Fahl most recently served as Vice President of Government Affairs for the New Jersey office of Tonio Burgos and Associates, Inc. While there, Fahl managed a diverse portfolio that included state and national leaders in the areas of production clean energy, land use development and insurance.

Fahl graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 2012 with a degree in political science. She has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Middlesex Young Democrats Rising Star Award; Maria’s Women United Public and Community Service Award; 2019 – 2022 Insider NJ Top 10 LGBTQ+ Power List; 2018 – 2021 Insider NJ 100 Influential Millennials, and she was Grand Marshall of the Philadelphia Pride Parade in 2019.

Archer Public Affairs, a subsidiary of Archer & Greiner, PC, opened in 2019. The company represents client interests on a wide range of topics, including cannabis, transportation, healthcare, energy , education and economic development.
