Profitability Makes Crypto Mining More Expensive In Argentina By Cointelegraph


China’s crackdown on mining has led miners to seek other countries in which to continue their operations. Cost reduction promises drove some to Argentina. However, the country’s government has now implemented new tariffs for crypto miners in Tierra del Fuego province.

The Argentine Secretary of Energy of the Ministry of Economy published and announced resolution 40/2022, eliminating government energy subsidies for crypto mining energy use. The new tariffs make mining in the country up to four times more expensive than before.
